Overview

Overview

Kettlebrook Short Stay School is one of six Pupil Referral Units in Staffordshire. Our school is situated in the Kettlebrook area of Tamworth. It has easy access by foot, bus and car. We have a lockable bike shed and we can arrange a bus pass if needed.

The length of the School Day will vary according to the student’s Individual Learning Programme (ILP). Each student will be given their ILP as soon as it is designed with a clear outline of the curriculum offer and nationally recognised qualifications that they are working towards achieving. Some of the ILP will be on the Kettlebrook site and other Alternative Providers.

Lunchtimes require students to bring in their own packed lunch (that can be placed in the kitchen fridge on entry) OR purchase the school lunch of a pre-ordered sandwhich, fruit, pudding and water.

Fizzy drinks, energy drinks and chewing gum are not permitted on site.

Kettlebrook Short Stay School will also share pupil data with other agencies, eg. Staffordshire County Council; the five Tamworth secondary school academies; NHS; OFSTED; Examination Boards etc to enable all our students to achieve the success that they deserve.

Financial Benchmarking

Kettlebrook is funded direct from Staffordhire County Council from the Higher Needs Block and for dual registered students, the top up element is funded direct from the Home School.  As a PRU – Kettlebrook has very limited access to the DfE School’s Financial Benchmarking.  Please contact school office for further information.
