International Day
Group B spent some time learning about India on International Day. They looked through and discussed photos from Mrs Patel’s visit to India and asked lots of questions. Students decorated the classroom with Indian sarees (using google to help!) and created some flower garlands with tissue paper to hang around the room. Two of the students spent some time doing some art work- drawings of Hindu gods and a traditional Indian woman were carefully drawn. Students then carefully arranged some Indian jewellery and helped to dress the staff who wore some Indian clothes. They tried on some clothes and jewellery, sampled some Indian savoury snacks and made some poppadums. This, coupled with the authentic Indian music and the smell of incense, truly created a lovely Indian atmosphere.
